Phillip O’Neill remains in custody while on a waiting list for evaluation at Weskoppies
Paperwork will commence for the evaluation of Phillip O’Neill at Weskoppies who will then be placed on a waiting list.
Phillip O’Neill, a Secunda man accused of murdering his wife Hester O’Neill (49), appeared in the Delmas High Court on July 21.
The matter was postponed to August 21.
In the meantime, Weskoppies Hospital indicated that they will do an evaluation on O’Neill.
Paperwork will now commence for his evaluation and O’Neill will be placed on a waiting list for Weskoppies. Until then he remains in custody.
O’Neill, who is evaluated for dementia, is on trial for the murder of Hester on the night of June 1 last year.
