Delani Louis Thabethe, executive mayor of the Lekwa Municipality, identified in the past a few key problems such as ageing infrastructure with asbestos pipes in the network, insufficient capacity at the reservoirs, dysfunctional reservoirs, and the impact of load-shedding.
