Celebrating its women on Walker Park greens

Walker Park Golf Club celebrated their women golfers on Women’s Day.

A scramble drive with two scores to count formed part of golf day held at Walker Park Golf Club on August 9.
This was in celebration of the Women’s Day.

Despite an icy cold winter’s day and wind speeds of more than 20kmph, this did not deter the celebration of ardent women golfers.

Teams consisted of one woman player and three men.

First place went to Izak Leonard, Hannes Henderson, Arno Spangenberg, and Wilna Spangenberg on 108 points.

Dorothy Pieterse tees off.

In second was Hansie Annandale, George Naude, and Zukie Naude on 105 points. In third place were Francois Posthumus, Dorothy Pieterse, Chris Venter, and Ivan Mare on 104 points.

Fourth place went to MJ Russell, Herby van Rensburg, Blits Jansen Van Rensburg, and Brandon Russell on 102 points.

Nearest to the pin were Marius Lamprecht on the second hole, Hailey-Jade van Rensburg on the eighth hole, Jannie Grobler on the 13th hole, and Jacques Raffenberg on the 15th hole.
