Thamsanqa Msengi was crowned King at the Mister Tshwane Regions pageant 2023

Thamsanqa Msengi was crowned King at the Mister Tshwane Regions pageant.

Thamsanqa Msengi (21) is a young man from Bronkhorstspruit who is passionate about advocating the equality of foreign people living in South Africa.

They recently crowned him as the king for 2023 at the Mister and Miss Tshwane Regions Pageant held at the Zonderwater Correctional Services.

Msengi was the only representative from Region 7, which comprises areas such as Bronkhorstspruit, Ekangala, Ekandustria, Zithobeni and Sokhulumi. He was also the first person from this region to clinch the crown.

This annual pageant is considered one of the most prestigious pageants in the Tshwane area and the grand finale was a night full of glamour and glitz where contestants showcase their talent, charm and wit.

This was Msengi’s first time competing in the Mister Tshwane Regions competition, which he entered to discover himself.

Msengi believes his title as winner of the pageant represents not only personal accomplishments but also his commitment to creating a more just and equitable society. It opened doors to new opportunities and platforms for him to share his message and make a difference.

This mechanical engineering graduate from Technikon SA Bronkhorstspruit Campus dedicates himself to creating a more just and inclusive society and ensuring all people are treated with dignity and respect.

“The title Mister Tshwane Regions is a powerful tool for promoting my advocacy work.

“It has elevated my profile and allowed me to reach a wider audience, including the prestigious upcoming Nan Hua Chinese event where I will be the keynote speaker.”

“I am a role model and an inspiration to many, and I have the power to make a lasting impact on the lives of others,” said Msengi.

He is the oldest of two children. His mom, Mimmy Ntuli, and bother Olwethu Chibi (5) are his biggest fans, cheering him on every step of the way.

Msengi is currently studying Computer Sciences and IT specialisation at the Nan Hua Academy in Bronkhorstspruit.

He is studying IT because of his passion for technology and its potential to improve the world. He believes IT has the power to transform lives for the better, and he wants to be a part of that transformation.

Msengi is also a music lover.

“As an upcoming hip-hop artist, I believe in writing my own music. For me to express myself in an authentic and personal way and writing my own lyrics allows me to do just that,” said Msengi.
