SAPS from eMbalenhle and Bethal need help to identify two dead men

Any information, no matter how small, could be crucial in helping to close these cases.

Police are appealing to the public for help locating the families of two unidentified men. In the first case, an unidentified man aged around 30 years old was found dead close to the Extension 9 bridge near the R546 Standerton-Evander road on November 21, 2025, at around 1:20 in the morning.

It appears the man was run over.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the man wearing a white T-shirt, a navy blue hoodie, green trousers, and Carvela shoes.

Furthermore, police are appealing for help in identifying the body of an unknown African man discovered nearly three years ago.

The body of the man was found on April 24, 2023, at around 10:30 in an open field at Extension 14, near the Mayisela Complex. According to police, the deceased man was found half-naked, wearing only black track pants.

Police suspect foul play as he had visible bruises on his body. Despite ongoing investigations, authorities have been unable to identify the man.

Police are urging anyone who may have a missing relative or friend matching this description, or anyone with information that could assist in the investigation, to come forward.
