A team of volunteers from the community, referring to themselves as Team Spitfire, began filling up potholes on July 11.
The community contributed to make this initiative possible. Clarke van der Walt, who is on the executive committee of the Trichardt CPF, arranged it.
Team Spitfire tackled the potholes on the P185 road as well as Ruth First Street.
“This action is proof that we can work together to make Trichardt a better place for all of us who live here,” said Van der Walt.
He thanked all the sponsors and volunteers who made the project successful.
Team Spitfire’s next project will take place on July 25 at 14:00. They will clean up the area in Van der Merwe Street.
Anyone is welcome to join them and get involved in their community projects. For more information, contact Van der Walt on 079 985 4343.
