Golfers awarded at year-end function
The golfers were awarded for their performances.
EVANDER – Walker Park Golf Club honoured its champions on Friday 29 November.
They celebrated a successful year with a dinner and dance.
More than 20 awards were given to deserving members.
The best junior boy was Rikus Pretorius and the best junior girl was Lelani Weber.
The club champion for men was Ettienne Maré and the woman was Rochelle Brooks.
The best nett league players were Ernest Horn and Peet Murray.
The best gross league A player was Thys Swart and best gross league B player was Ivan Maré.
The singles knockout men’s winner was Corne Brits and the singles knockout woman was Rosemarie Rudolph.
The doubles knockout men were Sakkie Rudolph and Joggie Engelbreght with the winners of the mixed doubles knockout players were Lukas and Susan Potgieter.
The Sportsman of the Year was Andre van Heerden and the Sportswoman of the Year was Rosemarie Rudolph.
The most improved man and woman was Stephan Dalton and Annemarie Henning.
The senior sportsman award went to Eugene Louw.
The hole-in-one players were Andre van Heerden, Thys Swart and Jannie Pretorius.
The chairman’s award went to Susan Potgieter and Suzette Cameron.
The president’s award went to Rosemarie Rudolph and Andre Kock and the stirrer of the year was Sakkie Pelser.
