Yankees ready for tournament

eMBALENHLE – Sasol Yankees players are ready to take part in the annual Gordon Monk Handball Tournament in Kempton Park from 24 to 26 January.

Mlungisi Tshabalala, a player, has confidence in his team mates and believes they will do well.

“We have shown a lot of commitment and composure during our training sessions.”

The tournament is among the biggest tournaments on the South African softball calendar where teams from various provinces trade bats in the weekend thriller.

With a few days to wrap up their preparations, the payers have put more effort into their training session at the Sasol Club which consisted of jogging, drills, throwing the ball and some meek batting practice.
