SECUNDA – The Highveld women and men’s bowls pairs competition were held on Saturday, 18 January at the Sasol Bowling Club.
The competition saw participants from Secunda, Standerton and Ermelo bolwing clubs.
The winners of the women’s competition were Anne Swanepoel and Anria Bosman from Sasol Bowls Club Secunda.
The runners-up were Annette van Ryneveld and Patrys Becker from Sasol Bowls Club Secunda.
The winners of the men’s competition were Jimmy Holloway and Peter du Plessis from Sasol Bowls Club Secunda and the runners-up were Marius Labuschagne and Jan Labuschagne from Sasol Bowls Club Secunda.
There is social bowls every Saturday and Sunday from 2pm and everyone is welcome.
The club has bowls for those who wish to play, but do not have their own.
The Specsavers Pro-10 day will take place on Sunday, 2 February at the Sasol Bowling Club.
