Bethal Bears beat Musakaligwa Warriors by 75 runs.

BETHAL – Bethal Bears recently played a premier league match against Musakaligwa Warriors from Ermelo and won by 75 runs.

The Warriors won the toss and decided to bowl first.

The Bethal Bears’ batsmen got off to a shaky start, losing wickets on a regular basis.

Johann Stadler was the rock of the Bears’ batting line-up and top scored with 70 runs.

He was supported by George Plowman with an aggressive 34 runs off nine balls and Ashley Methula with 23 runs.

The Bears ended with a below par total of 174 runs.

Their opening bowler, Liam Korf, began the innings well and took three quick wickets.

Johann Stadler continued to dominate the Warriors players with his bowling as well.

He was the Bears’ best bowler with match-winning figures of 4/21 in eight overs.

George Plowman, Bethal’s captain, also contributed with three wickets.

In the end the Warriors were bowled out for 99 runs.
