ASPIRING BOXERS SHINE
The quartet is grateful to local senior boxers who assist them from time to time in preparation for their fights.
Members of the Ermelo Boxing Club were some of the stars at the inter-provincial championships that took place at Graceland Casino, Secunda last Saturday.
The championships attracted aspiring boxers from Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
Nkululeko Mkhonza (23) won his bout in the third round, Sibusiso Mabaso (18) also won his match on a technical knock-out (TKO) after his opponent refused to step into the ring with him, Nkosinathi Xulu was unfortunate to lose his fight on split decision and Dumisani Msithini also added to the team’s victory after winning his match on points.

The Ermelo Boxing Club is also home to former local professional boxers, the Khoza brothers. Xolani, Osborne and Star put the club on the map.
