Standerton rugby teams crowned Mpumalanga Big Schools champions

Both its U15 and first teams secured championship victories on home soil.

Hoërskool Standerton celebrated a memorable conclusion to the Mpumalanga Big Schools rugby finals, held at the school on June 20, with both its U15 and first teams being crowned champions.

The U15 side edged out Hoërskool Rob Ferreira in a thrilling encounter, securing a 20-19 victory.

The school praised the team for its hard work, dedication and passion for the sport.

According to the school, the players’ respect for their opponents, coaches, referees and the game itself was just as impressive as their achievement on the field.
