Gymnasts of the Secunda Gymnastics Club took part in two competitions in May and excelled.
At the Mpumalanga Gymnastics Festival in Ermelo on May 23, several gymnasts earned gold medals for their overall scores.

These gymnasts are Sansa Diergaardt, Leah van der Merwe, Saoirse O’Dwyer, Fumani Sithole, Shiloh Holloway, Marlienke du Randt and Mia Wride.

These gymnasts also excelled in other categories, with Diergaard finishing fifth overall, Van der Merwe finishing third in the beam category, O’Dwyer finishing third in the bar category, Holloway finishing first in the floor-, beam- and bar categories and Du Randt finishing first in the floor- and vault categories and Wride finishing third in the beam category.

The other gymnasts who excelled and won silver medals for their overall scores are Rorisang Sehularo, Ansu-Marie Susan, Elri de Beer, Chloe Wride and Alyssa Diergaardt.

The gymnasts also showed their skills and excelled in a tumble competition held in Benoni on May 29 and 30.

In this competition Mihané Engelbrecht finished first in the tumble category and fourth in the bench category, Greane Strydom finished first in the bench- and trampoline categories and second in the tumble category, Edrich Nell finished first in the trampoline category, second in the bench category and third in the tumble category, Felisa Kutama finished first in the bench- and tumble categories and third in the trampoline category, Abigail Singh finished first in the bench- and trampoline categories and second in the tumble category, Jordan Singh finished first in the trampoline- and tumble categories and second in the bench category, Jethro Holloway finished first in the bench- and trampoline categories and second in the tumble category, Lesego Sehunwe finished first in the bench category and fourth in the floor category and Milan Reddy finished second in the trampoline category.

The other gymnasts who excelled in this competition are Tadgh O’Dwyer, who finished second in the tumble category and third in the bench and trampoline categories and Shiloh Holloway, who finished second in the bench and trampoline categories and fourth in the tumble category.
