Ronnie FC wins Levay tournament

Ronnie FC was victorious in the Levay Tournament recently.

Local soccer teams from the Industrial League participated in the tournament at the Sakhile Stadium between 25 and 27 April.

Six teams participated in the quarter finals and three matches were played on 25 April.

Standerton Super Spar lost 2-1 to Ronnie FC, while Giant FC beat Sadtu 2-0 and Noble defeated Retailers 2-1.

Super Spar later played against the Retailers and beat them 4-0.

Four teams took part in the semi-finals on 26 April.

Ronnie FC continued to dominate and defeated Giant FC 2-0.

Noble battled it out against Super Spar and won 2-1.

Ronnie FC and Noble then proceeded to the finals where Ronnie FC won 6-0 against Noble on 27 April.

The winning team received a full soccer kit and 25 gold medals, while Noble walked away with 25 silver medals.

The league thanked the sponsors of the tournament, all the teams that participated and the fans.

The next matches were between Levay FC and Sadtu FC and Retailers competed against Giant FC at the Standerton Show Grounds on 6 May.
