Basizeni pupils obtain provincial sports awards
Thabo Nkosi is the Disabled Sports Person of the Year.
eMBALENHLE – The Mpumalanga Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation held its Provincial Sports Awards in Ermelo on Friday, 13 November.
During the awards, the Basizeni basketball team was awarded the Disabled Sports Team of the Year award and Thabo Nkosi was awarded the Disabled Sports Person of the Year.
The team represented the country at the Special Olympic World Summer Games in Los Angeles, America, in July.
South Africa came sixth out of 176 countries.
