Support Jim van Tonder School’s golf day
An event with a cause and your chance to win many great prizes.
Jim van Tonder School’s annual golf day will be held at Bethal Golf Club on Saturday, 14 October.
Apart from top quality prizes, the school is well known for prizes manufactured in their own workshops.
Prizes to the value of R60 000 can be won for a “hole-in-one” on the 11th hole.
Jim van Tonder School caters for learners with special educational needs.
Apart from the normal academic curriculum, learners are trained in a variety of skills.
Training includes acquiring skills in welding, woodwork, panelbeating, mechanical work, plumbing, hairdressing, hospitality studies, catering and shop and office.
Many learners are accommodated in the school hostel, whereas others travel daily from Secunda, Evander and Kriel.
Funds generated through the golf day are used to enable the school to provide the means and facilities for learners to become self supportive and make a positive contribution to the community and society as a whole.
The focus this year is on improving the school’s sports facilities.
Jim van Tonder School invites local businesses to contribute towards this event by sponsoring a hole or by participating in the event itself.
It costs R190 per player which includes breakfast, a halfway house and refreshments during the prizegiving.
The time table is availabe at Bethal Gholf Club.
