Local runners complete the Two Oceans

Clubs are proud of their local runners.

HIGHVELD – Several local runners took part in the 2018 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon on Saturday, 31 March in Cape Town.

The best runners from Bethal Marathon Club are Deon (Kulu) Grobler who completed his 10th ultra marathon, Marietjie Lombard, Marius Mellet and Koot Trollip.

They ran the ultra marathon of the Two Oceans, while Regina de Klerk, Thembi Lillian Gasane, Judy Smit, Elize Trollip and Marine van der Merwe completed the half marathon.

Runners from Evaner Gold Mines Athletics Club who completed the Two Oceans ultra marathon, are Sbo Dube, Ntombikhona Hleza and Buti Manamela.

The runners from Sasol Marathon Club who completed the ultra marathon are Graham Bentz, Thandeka Dhlamini, Brian Lukhele, Paul Mahungele, Zakhele Makhendilana, Charles Masekoameng, Jacky Reuben Motubatse, Twana Edward Muhlokoa, Marwala Papi Johannes Mzizi, Modibe Nchabeleng, Patrick Ndlovu, Makhanane Ngobeni, Mngomeulu Nicodemus, Maretha Steyn, Dimakatso Tsheole, Gopolang Tsheole and Peter Xaba.

The Sasol Marathon Club athletes who completed the half marathon are Bongani Dube, Londani Mashila, Steve Namane, Nhlanhla Phumuzile, Coreen van der Lith, Johann van der Lith, Collen Williams, Joedine Williams and Mario Williams.

The athletes from Secunda Marathon Club who completed the ultra marathon are Jolene Carstens, Amanda de Swardt, Ben Espach, Bruce Moller, Linmarie Swanepoel, Niel Swanepoel, Albert Wolfaardt, Carole Wolfaardt, Denise Wolfaardt and Dirk Wolfaardt.

The athletes from Secunda Marathon Club who completed the half marathon are Olive Coetzee, Lien Wolfaardt and Greg Scorer.
