SECUNDA – Skumbuzo Mkomo and Mbali Dladla of Marietjie School recently took part in the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates in golf and brought home a gold medal.
Ms Annaretha Fourie, teacher at Marietjie School, said they are proud of the learners and their hard work and skills paid off during one of the biggest events worldwide.
“They are an inspiration for the other learners at Marietjie School and it also shows that anything is possible if you set your mind to it,” said Ms Fourie.
