Annual sports tournament in Evander scores against drug abuse

Victorious Loving Hope hosted the tournament, with players competing in both netball and soccer matches.

Participants gathered at Laerskool Hoëveld on June 27 for the annual Anti-Drug Sports Tournament, an event aimed at raising awareness about drugs and substance abuse through sport.

The tournament brought together teams for a day of friendly competition, highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyles and positive community involvement.

Victorious Loving Hope hosted the tournament, with players competing in both netball and soccer matches.

Throughout the day, participants displayed teamwork, determination and good sportsmanship while promoting the message that sport serves a positive alternative to substance abuse.

Victorious Loving Hope thanked the public, Evander Police and the Secunda Public Order Policing (POP) unit for their participation and support in making the event a success.
