Stanley and Riaan claim IFA Cup at Graceland Country Club
Golfers welcomed perfect spring weather that called for a great two days of fun, fresh air and golfing while strutting their styles in their heritage garments.
Sheldon du Toit competed in the IFA Cup that was held at Graceland Hotel Casino and Country Club on September 24 and 25.
In celebration of Heritage Day, golfers took to the Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club greens and competed in the IFA Cup (“Ifa” in Zulu means heritage) that was held on September 24 and 25.
A total of 80 golfers participated in the cup.

An amount of R50 000 in prizes was up for grabs with prizes also being given to the best dressed teams.
Different formats were played on both days.
Taking first place victory was Stanley Dodd and Riaan Burger on 98 points followed by second place winners Dannie Kruger and Martin Smallberger on 91 points.
Third place went to Angus Dickson and Darren Braamon 90 points, with fourth place winners Johan Janse van Rensburg and Barend van Der Westhuizen finishing on 88 points.
Isaac Mhlangu and Moorosi Seboka ended on 88 points with sixth place going to Jaco Joubert and Jacques Siebritz ending on 86 points.
Seventh place went to Daniel Nyathela and Mxolisi Shirindza with 86 points while Bafana Mbaba and Mali Mahana also ended the two day competition on 86 points.
The best dressed teams were Kobus and Ella Smit, Pieter de Villiers and Jacques Cloete, Wimpie and Louise Willemse, and Jacques Siebritz and Jaco Joubert.
“It was a very successful event. A huge thank you to all the golfers and their families for the support as well as the Graceland team for assisting in making the IFA Cup a great one.
“We look forward to hosting the IFA Cup again next year,” said Mr Pieter de Villiers, general manager for Graceland.
