Gauteng North Figure Skating Association holds awards brunch

19 accolades were awarded.

The Gauteng North Figure Skating Association (GNFSA) held an awards brunch at African Blessings, a children’s charity community centre in Bronkhorstspruit on Sunday, June 19 June.

There were 19 different categories and lots of deserving winners.

A total of 50 finalists attended the semi-formal event.

The Volunteer of the Year award went to Astrid Schmulian.

The Administrator of the Year award went to Hayley Walker.

The junior skater in division B is Annabelle Strydom.

The senior solo skater in division B is Hannelore Ahrens.

The Newcomer of the Year award went to Okarabile Mongatane.

The junior ice dancer in division B is Leah Snyman. She also won the division A’s junior solo skater.

The senior ice dance in division B went to Christel Viljoen.

Natalie Keller is the winner in the adult skater category.

The winner in the Young Adult Skater category is Gwen Viljoen.

The Junior Male Skater of the Year is Vincent Grun. He also received a pair skaters award alongside Taria Coetzee.

The senior solo skater in division A is Megan Timmerman.

The junior team players are Layla Erasmus, Leah Strydom, Milané Gamberini. and Taria Coetzee.

The senior team players are Claire Walker and Mathilda Du Plessis.

The sportsmanship award and the senior skater’s skater award also went to Mathilda Du Plessis.

The junior skater’s skaters are Taytum Rosseau and Tristan Schmulian.

The chairperson’s award winner is Skyla von Beneck
