Residents stretch their legs at parkrun event in Standerton

Tshiamo Lephoto completed the event in a time of 17:33, followed by Sifiso Siphamandla who recorded 18:36 and Sinkho Mzizi 20:06, a new personal best.

Sixty-one athletes took part in the parkrun at Standerton River Park on July 29. Six athletes improved their times and five new faces joined the event.

Tshiamo Lephoto completed the event in a time of 17:33, followed by Sifiso Siphamandla, who recorded 18:36, and Sinkho Mzizi in 20:06 (a new personal best).

Kutloano Tsotetsi crossed the finish line in 25:22, while Wassie Rossouw came in at 27:19 and Adéle Bezuidenhout, a first-timer, in 28:17.

Thikolelwi Mudau registered 28:41 in his 50th event, followed by Andrew Ainsworth’s 31:03 and Johann Vosloo’s 31:03 in his 50th event.

Slindo Khalo ran a time of 32:45, a new personal best and Johann Bouillon clocked in at 34:30.

Charl van Wyk, Frans Vermaak, Jennifer Naidoo, Johannes Vosloo, Lydia Roets, Preyanka Dorasamy, Ruwan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Sylvy Moodley, Willy Smith and Zeldine Strydom saw to the nitty-gritty of ensuring a safe and smooth event.
