Register now for the 46th Sasol Secunda Marathon

The Sasol Secunda Marathon consists of a 42.2km, 21.1km and 10km run. There will also be a fun run.

Registrations are now open for the 46th Sasol Secunda Marathon, happening on February 14. The marathon will start and finish at the Sasol Secunda Recreation Club.

The race consists of a 42.2km, 21.1km and 10km run. There will also be a fun run. The 42.2km starts at 6:00, the 21.1km and the 10km at 6:10 and the fun run at 6:15.

Entry fee for the 42.2km is R350, 21,1km is 220, 10km is R140, and the fun run is R60. A temporary license costs R60. Medals will be given to all finishers.

Free T-shirts to the first 300 pre-entries for the 42.2 and 21.1 km only. Prize money is up for grabs. Pre-entries close on February 8.

Late entries are from February 12 to 13 at Sasol Secunda Recreation Club from 14:00 to 19:00, and on the race day from 4:00 to 5:30 (no handouts).

A R20 administration fee will apply for all late entries.

Race rules:
• All participants participate at their own risk, and by their entry, indemnify the organisers and sponsors of any liability or claim

• All participants must wear a valid 2025/2026 license on the back and front of the vest. Unlicensed runners must buy a temporary license to be worn on the back and pinned at all four corners and be visible at all times

• Race will take place under the rules of ASA, AMPU and WA. All participants are to wear registered club colours or plain running gear if participating with a temporary license. Decisions by race referees are final.

• Minimum ages 42.2km – 20 years, 21,1km – 16 years, 10km – 14 years

• International/ Foreign athletes must submit a clearance letter from their country’s Federation when pre-entries close or before the event starts.

• No earphones to be worn

• Take note that photos may be taken for marketing and sponsorship purposes

• Traffic officers and marshals are to be obeyed always

• Official category tags to be worn on the front and back. Identification is required for all category winners

• No seconding and no pets allowed.
