Eager participants at the Standerton River Park take on 5km

Renette de Sousa and Lizette Jansen van Rensburg reached the milestone of volunteering for the 100th time.

Enthusiasm for the parkrun has not wavered, with 65 participants out of the blocks at the Standerton River Park on Saturday, July 30 at 8:00.

Mlungisi Ntumba crossed the finish line in a time of 20;17, a new personal best, followed by Chuhla Phago in 20:37, a new personal best as well.

Mbuso Mazibuko ended in 24:57, while Omran Marzugi clocked a time of 25:03 and Beandri Claassens a time of 25:58.

Seven athletes improved their times.

Charl van Wyk, Christel Handford, Frans Vermaak, Johannes Vosloo, Leticia Fourie, Jean Robertson, Pomesan Govender, Ruwan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Sylvy Moodley, Theo Schönfeldt and Wikus Fourie were on their posts as well to facilitate a smooth 5km.
