Standerton Sables coach is excited for league

“I hope to help guide the team to win this year's Pumas Cross Border League and to attract the community to support our games,” said Willem Prinsloo.

Willem Prinsloo is the proud coach of the Standerton Sables Rugby team.

At 60 he continues to live his passion for rugby by shaping young players.

Prinsloo is a man of discipline and brings stability to the Sables.

“I hope to help guide the team to win this year’s Pumas Cross Border League and to attract the community to support our games,” said Prinsloo.

He is married to Sarita Prinsloo and a proud father to two sons, Ryno and Wian, who share his passion for rugby.

Though a pensioner, he still enjoys more leisurely sports activities, such as cricket and fishing.

“I thoroughly enjoy deep sea diving as well,” added Prinsloo.

Though Prinsloo learnt to love Standerton, he grew up in Springs.

“The small community of Standerton is a wonderful place to set up roots; community members here genuinely care about one another,” said Prinsloo.
