Taekwon-Do students enjoy tournaments

There were three top winners who scored an almost perfect score in the Tiny Tiger tournament.

More than 30 students from ATC Taekwon-Do Rayton and Cullinan participated in the Tiny Tiger and Avengers tournament held at the Cullinan Sports Centre.

A total of 18 gold medals and 12 silver medals were taken by Bsb Justin Collett-dojangs on Saturday, November 6.

Everyone who participated had loads of fun as they finally had a chance after about two years of training with no tournaments to test their skills due to Covid 19.

Weapon sparring was also part of the tournaments and is known as attacking and defending with a padded weapon and special techniques such as kicking a board above their heads, alongside board target kicking known as kicking or striking a board on a target to break it was all events that students participated in.

All the competitive students completed all the events to receive there medals.

The top three winners in the Tiny Tiger tournament scored an almost perfect score, but only Lily Collett and Melissa le Roux qualified by scoring 23/24.
