Stray dog kills family pets
A dog killed two dogs on 2 March.
A stray black cross Labrador killed two Jack Russells in the early hours of Monday, 2 March.
According to Ms Marie Botha, owner of the premises where the dogs were killed, they heard the animals barking in distress between 4am and 5am.
“We went outside and found two of our dogs dead,” she said.
According to her they tried to chase the Labrador out of the yard, to no avail.
“He went to the back of the garage and hid there.”
They closed the hatch where the dog was hiding to protect the other three dogs and themselves.
