Knights of Da Gama announces Council 41

The council of the Knights of Da Gama was announced during a meeting in Secunda.

SECUNDA – The Knights of Da Gama announced the formation of a local council of the Catholic Order, also known as Council 41, during a ceremony.

The ceremony was well attended by the locals as well as people from as far as Cape Town and Durban and was held by the Holy Family Church under the leadership of Father Marcel Kazadi.

The council’s goal is the uplifting of the local community and men of the Catholic Church.

During the meeting, new officers were elected and installed for a period to support the local priest and to help develop and support the local community.

The order promotes brotherhood and personal development.

Mr Matthias Ruguwa said the council focuses on building and supporting men, because men are responsible to God, the country, family and the community at large.

The council, which supports the local parishes of Evander, Kinross, Standerton, Kriel and eMbalenhle, welcomes new members who would like to be part of the council and can contact them at 0832846309.
