Sgt Mthombeni gets two awards
Sgt Melusi Mthombeni was awarded a best police office awards by the eMBalenhle Police Station.
Sgt Melusi Mthombeni received two awards for being the best performing member and best arresting police officer on Friday, 4 December.
He received his awards at the eMbalenhle Police Station.
Sgt Mthombeni was in the spotlight after he successfully investigated a murder case that resulted in a 10 year sentence for Akhona Kondile recently.
Other members were also recognised for their efforts in serving the community with dignity and respect.
The eMbalenhle Police Station awards police members who perform well annually.
Capt Magonseni Nkosi, police spokesman, said it is one of the tools used to ensure commitment by members throughout the year and to improve services delivery to the community.
