Mavcorp launched

LEANDRA – Mavcorp emergency response was officially opened on Friday, 13 May.
VIP guests and local police officers and Leandra Fire Department attended the event.
Shaleen Surtie-Richards was the programme director and Amor Vittone entertained guests.
Mavcorp’s managing director, Mr Maverick Hammond, thanked guests for attending and emphasised that he aims at forging good relationships with other tactical and medical response companies and relevant government departments.
Mavcorp has a fleet of vehicles for tactical response and its ambulance service.
“We want to stick to what is doable and give solutions.
“We realised there was a need for a medical response team on the N17 highway and believe we will be of great help,” said Mr Hammond.
He said their aim for the future is to get involved in a child protection unit and human trafficking prevention.
Mavcorp has well-trained staff with combined 140 years of military and police experience and expert training to keep their employees up to the high standard that they expect.
Mr Hammond has an extensive military background, serving in the armed forces for 15 years as part of the South African Intelligence Core and Special Forces where he was part of many local and SSA projects and operations.
He pursued a career in the corporate business for the past 11 years and covered the physical risk side.
He has a sound background in risk management, anti-hijacking, investigations, TAPA International accredited Security Auditor (TSR and FSR), ISO (9001/2000), NKP instructor, fire-arm instructor, ERT Team Leader, First Aid level 2, Guarding, General Security Auditing, Electronic Security and CAA Part 108 Level 3 as D.O.
He is Sira registered Grade A plus and has been involved in numerous VIP protection tasks.
He has extensive experience in witness protection to corporate, as well as talent protection as a CPO.
