Thick Queens invite plus size people to bootcamp at eMbalenhle Sasol Club

The only requirements is that you are plus size, wear gym clothes and take along a towel. Entry is free, but you need to register beforehand

eMBALENHLE – The first ever plus size boot camp will take place at the eMbalenhle Sasol Club on Saturday, 11 May.

Anyone wearing size 36 and larger are welcome to join in boot camp.

The only requirements are that you are plus size, wear gym clothes and take along a towel.

Entry is free, but you need to register beforehand.

The Thick Queens Plus Size Fashion Display is taking place on 24 June.

Participants should arrive by 7am as the first part of the boot camp comprises of an outdoor event beginning strictly at 8am.

The second session is indoors and will begin strictly at 9.30am.

The boot camp coaches are Ella Mthethwa, Sunboy Mthimunye, Coach Lebo and Big Mike.

This plus size boot camp is an initiative of Thick Queens as a run up to the annual Thick Queen Plus Size Fashion Display taking place at the Lillian Ngoyi Centre in Secunda on 29 June.

This event showcases the work of local designers and encourages big women to break away from body shaming by giving them a chance at modelling designer outfits.

Ms Curvy Body 2018 will be one of the special guests at the show.

VIP tickets cost R250 each and general tickets sell at R150 each.

The price includes an after party with various DJs, entertainment and a cash bar.
