Spud 3 cast meets fans at Cleawater
WILGEHEUWEL — Fans of the book and movie Spud were more than excited to meet and greet the actors
The deafening screams of teenage girls could be heard from two floors as the Spud 3 actors made their way to the Nu-Metro cinemas at Clearwater Mall on 16 November.
The six actors signed autographs and took selfies with their fans before being treated to an exclusive screening of the Spud franchise: Learning to fly.
Troye Sivan, who plays Spud in the movie said, “the crowd is a bit overwhelming, but we are very excited to be here and meet the fans.”
Spud 3 returns with the boys back at school and tying to manoeuvre their way through puberty and the daunting idea of dating.
Awkward and shy, Spud struggles just a little more than most boys when it comes to love, his friends (The crazy 8) and his embarrassing parents.
Based on the novel with the same name, Spud is one of the biggest selling books in South Africa with more than 200 000 copies sold in the country alone.
