Man dies on the scene after being run over by a taxi

A man was run over and killed on Tuesday, 30 April, while riding his bicycle in broad daylight, at about 1pm, near the corner of Eeufees Avenue and Westlake Street in Florida.

The exact cause of the accident has not been confirmed; however, according to onlookers the taxi driver drove directly into the victim. It was also alleged that the taxi driver was under the influence of alcohol. The taxi driver was detained by the Florida Police and put in the police van.

The JMPD, Forensic Pathology, the Police and officers from ADT were on the scene.
