Cancer survivors spoilt with goodies

The Chatroom honoured its cancer survivors for their continued fight against cancer during a special Survivor Day event held at the NG Kerk Constantiakruin on Saturday, 8 June.

Sister Corrie Botes from the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) shared a few words of encouragement before the members of the chat group started sharing their cancer journeys.

“I have to tell you how privileged you are to be celebrating this day here, because some patients I deal with are stuck between four walls and cannot go anywhere,” she said.

She also acknowledged that every cancer patient has a place in her heart.
