BFF holds last soup kitchen and extends invitation to knitters

“Anyone willing to join us can give Yolande a call on 073 147 1422 or visit our Facebook page, BFF NPO."

Building the Face of our Future (BFF) is calling on residents to give their time and help them knit scarves for needy children.

“Anyone willing to join us can give Yolande a call on 073 147 1422 or visit our Facebook page, Building the Face of our Future NPO. We just need people’s time now, we will provide needles and wool so they can help make scarves,” said Wikus van Rensburg, one of the founders of BFF.

This was said during the last soup kitchen, which was held on Saturday, 20 July, at the municipal flats at the intersection of Corlett and Lange Avenues.

The company has held four soup kitchens around Witpoortjie and Van Rensburg said the whole process has been enlightening.

“Even though this is our last soup kitchen for the season, we still have lots of projects we are hoping to get done. Our next project will be the knitting of scarves, seeing that it is winter and our main focus is the children,” he said.

Residents were amazed by the work being done by the company and also could not stop talking about how mouth-watering the soup was.
