Giving back was not limited to Mandela Day for the learners at Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel.
The Grade R to 7 learners continued with the spirit of giving by collecting dog food in aid of the 9th Day Animal Shelter.

The learners, who endorse the ‘Adopt, Don’t Shop’ initiative, a campaign slogan that a growing number of animal rights proponents are using to promote adopting pets from shelters, gave back to the Krugersdorp shelter as they felt inspired by the work done by its founder Charmaine Booysens.
