Woman seriously injured in Weltevreden Park accident
Medics assessed her and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition
A 26-year-old woman was left seriously injured yesterday, 19 July, when her vehicle crashed into the concrete barriers on the N1 highway between 14th Avenue and Beyers Naudé Drive.
Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said, “ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 2.50pm and found the vehicle against the barriers. The victim was sitting inside her car. Medics assessed her and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition.”
She was carefully extricated from the vehicle, treated and provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the accident is not known yet, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
