Unique Health’s desperate plea for personal protective equipment

The coronavirus pandemic has had an exceptionally torrid impact on their clients and the way they conduct their daily business.

As the coronavirus pandemic and the state-imposed regulations slowly cripple industries across the nation, the health sector fights on despite being the hardest hit.

Every waking moment in the lives of doctors, nurses and all they interact with is an uphill battle with seemingly insurmountable odds. Unique Health Medical Solutions is a private medical solutions company based at Life Flora Clinic.

The coronavirus pandemic has had an exceptionally torrid impact on their clients and the way they conduct their daily business. Managing Director, Sarel Naude, has issued a heartfelt plea requesting the public’s assistance in ensuring that Unique Health is able to continue caring for its patients.

“Unique Health has been in business since 1998 in a supportive role for private individuals, corporates, medical insurers, doctors and frail care, providing nursing services across the full spectrum of healthcare. We find ourselves in a dire situation due to Covid-19 and are putting out this bulletin as a desperate plea for any assistance with the provision of PPE. As a small private company without any financial support from government, in spite of providing essential services to the nation, we find ourselves in a precarious situation. We have exhausted all backup resources, thus putting the company, the staff and their dependents at risk, not forgetting the patients we serve.”

“As a valued local business and community leader, we are writing to ask for your support by donating PPE items to assist us in our endeavour to protect and reduce the spread of the virus between patients and our healthcare workers. We would be extremely grateful to accept any donation of the following items:

  • Gloves – Surgical masks- KN95 masks
  • Disposable gowns- Reusable washable fabric gowns of any size –
  • Face shields
  • Aprons
  • Hand sanitizer –
  • Goggles

“Our commitment to serving during this pandemic crisis is strong but without resources we cannot continue to sustain the company. Anyone may drop off donations at our offices or we can collect.

To arrange this, please contact us at info@uniquehealth.co.za or 087 550 2117 / 061 750 2117. We would love it if you took a picture with your donated PPE items and tag us on Facebook/ www.uniquehealth.co.za.”

“We will gladly acknowledge any and all donations on our website and social media. Thank you so much in anticipation for your kind generosity to our cause. We truly appreciate all the support we receive in these unprecedented times. Yours sincerely, Sarel.”
