Top speakers from various industries touch on sales and marketing
The theme for the month of July has been centred on sales and marketing
The Hirsch’s Entrepreneurs Workshops that are held every Friday between 11am and noon have given small business owners and entrepreneurs who recently started up in business valuable insights into making their businesses relevant and profitable during the pandemic.
The workshops are hosted by Margaret Hirsch, Executive Director at Hirsch’s, and Business Coach Marlene Powell who is an award-winning coach with ActionCOACH.
The theme for the month of July has been centred on sales and marketing, and top speakers from various industries have been invited to join the virtual workshops as panellists to give attendees advice and encouragement on finding new ways to market their businesses and grow their sales.
Founder of Amari Marketing and Communications, Dimakatso Moloantoa gave an insightful talk on marketing strategies that she has used with clients during lockdown. “Now, more than ever, you need to know who your target market is. We have more power now than ever before as to who sees our content. Target market segmentation is important right now; it is the process of dividing a target market into smaller, more defined categories. It divides customers into groups that share similar characteristics – such as demographics, interests and needs,” Dimakatso pointed out.
Dean Daffue, GTM Manager of LG Electronics, also joined the panel and explained that most owners have aligned their businesses to suit their market. “If it means giving your place of work a carnival theme to attract business, then do it. People won’t forget you!” explained Dean.
Sales Matter is the title of the upcoming workshop on 24 July, and guest speakers include successful marketer Nox Nokuthula Magwaza, the founder of Bloom Marketing, and Jon Lopes, Managing Director of Compreforce. Members of the community are advised to book their seats early by contacting Shane at shane@hirschs.co.za.
