Little Falls sign defaced by a naughty somebody

Instead of reading Little Falls, the sign currently reads ‘Little Balls’

Who is behind defacing the Little Falls landmark signage nestled on the side of the ridge?

This is the question a number of proud Little Falls and Strubens Valley residents have been asking after they woke up to the rather mischievous wording a few days ago.

Instead of reading Little Falls, the sign currently reads ‘Little Balls’, meaning some immature person went up the koppie to fiddle with the words, either for self-gratification or to provide some comic relief to those who notice the bold signage against the ridge.

While local historian Rod Kruger warned that people could face prosecution for vandalising this site, BCI Security director Corinda Loots and volunteers from Little Falls & Strubens Valley Residential Community committed to rectifying this embarrassment.

According to the knowledgeable Rod, the sign turned 100 years this year and was built around 1920. He also suspects that it belongs to the Hadeco flower farm.

This popular sign usually is maintained by the surrounding community. In 2017, it received a makeover when residents took it upon themselves to repaint it.

Residents have been warned to refrain from defacing the pride of Little Falls, as they will be prosecuted.

This is a developing story.
