WATCH: SA’s exceptional content creators hosted in Muldersdrift

The intimate curated experience was to celebrate a handful of selected Instagrammers who continued to create and inspire with the content they created throughout lockdown.

Women’s Month lived up to its expectations of glitz and glamour when award-winning television host, blogger, model and managing director of KJ Productions, Kim Jayde hosted the country’s talented content creators at Ganico Organic Farm in Muldersdrift.

The intimate curated experience was to celebrate a handful of selected Instagrammers who continued to create and inspire with the content they created throughout lockdown.

The seven women Instagrammers were @queenofjozi, @carissacupido @sarakapay, @the_goldenrose, @leddi_g, @hey_kudisco and @victoriaolivern who were taken away from the hustle and bustle of the city to a secret location to create and collaborate.

The ladies celebrated seven phenomenal and proudly African fashion designers, being Mantsho, JJ Schoeman, Parooz, DFlo Apparel, Erre, Sun Goddess and Bam Collective who all provided garments from their collections and online stores for the guests to model for a photoshoot.

Latoya West, a professional make-up artist, was also on location to create a mesmerising final product to ensure a perfect picture.

“After several years of working in the industry as a model, then as a television host, I saw a true need for more diversity in the production space. I had great ideas and had come to know incredibly talented young photographers, videographers and editors.

“KJ Productions was born so that we, as young African creatives, could tell authentic stories, execute amazing campaigns and now curate beautiful experiences,” said Kim.

A buffet lunch was served before guests ventured outside to learn about organic farming in the area while customising their drinks with lavender, granadillas and other edible flowers grown on the farm.

As glamorous as the day was, what’s most important was that the ladies had an open, honest round table discussion with no cameras allowed.

They touched on everything – from gender-based violence, the patriarchal system to the industry which they all lived and worked in.

“Ultimately it was a beautiful day out of the city, which left the women inspired and empowered. This is the first of many intimate curated experiences, as KJ Productions expands to do so much more than brand campaigns,” added Kim.

Near the end of the event, the guests went around the group complimenting and uplifting each other with words of praise
