HWA adds some female flair to the ring

"I hope our audience is ready to see something that has never been done in South Africa."

Combining daredevil physicality with in-ring hype worthy of a soap opera, Honour Wrestling Association (HWA) is taking a high risk leap off the top rope, crushing their competition who lay limp on the canvas.

In one of the most exciting developments in South African pro wrestling, HWA will be doing television recordings of their ring-based show for a prominent local station.

“HWA is going to take wrestling to a new level. I hope our audience is ready to see something that has never been done in South Africa,” said HWA owner, Steve Eden.

The excitement is two-fold as the new televised programme will include HWA’s brand-new collection of sultry and charismatic female wrestlers. The divas are not to be toyed with as they ooze class and carnality, making them as comfortable with hand to hand combat as they would be on the runway.

While the wrestlers may be serious when in the zone, they showed off their lighter side by jumping on the Jerusalema bandwagon. After more takes than they may admit, the six divas and Steve put together their take on the internet dance craze.

“We are wrestlers, not dancers,” joked one of the soon to be revealed divas.

On a more sombre note, Steve Eden wished to extend his condolences to the wrestling fraternity and the family of Danie Brits.

“Danie and Danie Voges brought me into wrestling when I was just five years old. He trained me between the ages of five and 14, and I looked up to him immensely. We will all miss him,” said an emotional Steve.
