Ms Unseen SA finalist to raise funds for GBV victims

The 27-year-old is encouraging all members of the community and businesses to donate any amount to help them.

Ms Unseen South Africa finalist, Sandra-Lee Duursema from Little Falls is on a mission to raise funds for the Cape Town based Huis Jabes which provides a temporary home and rehabilitation centre to victims of family abuse.

The services the Cape Town home provides include medical, psychological and spiritual care, as well as social and legal advice. They teach life skills and give career guidance to help victims re-enter the world.

“As one of the finalists in Ms Unseen South Africa, I would love to raise funds for Huis Jabes as my way of giving back and supporting gender-based violence victims,” said Sandra-Lee.

The 27-year-old is encouraging all members of the community and businesses to donate any amount to help them.

Donors will stand a chance to win a hamper sponsored by Koali Studio, a face mask with any print of choice, a stop gender-based violence stainless steel bottle or mug, and a gift voucher worth R500 to spend at any local shop of your choice.

Lastly, the winner will stand a chance to pick any other item from the Koali Studio collection or products worth R250.

The winner will be announced on Facebook on 12 October.
