On Sunday, 22 November the Honeydew-based Frontline City Church invited the Honeydew Police CPF to a Law Enforcement Appreciation Service.
Appreciation certificates were presented to Captain Karen Jacobs representing the Honeydew Police Station, and to Jon Rosenberg on behalf of the CPF.
Representatives from the two bodies were asked to say a few words and elaborate on the crucial roles that they play within the community.
“At the service we honoured both those currently serving as well as those who lost their lives in 2020, and presented Certificates of Appreciation to SAPS Honeydew and our CPF.
“We truly appreciate this gesture, and the kind words that were spoken this morning. It’s not always that our brothers and sisters in blue are recognised for the excellent work they do,” said Pastor Wendy who heads up the Justice Ministries and Community Upliftment Department.

“One way we can be relevant to the community of Honeydew, is by recognising those who daily put their lives at risk to protect the community.
“We hope to be able to serve our Honeydew law-enforcement entities and to assist them in any way we can,” concluded Pastor Wendy.
