German butcher promises luring specials for Black Friday
Abiding with the lockdown regulations, Stefan said all systems will be in place, including a fully computerised system to manage movement.
Are you looking to stock up on your favourite meat supplies this Black Friday, 27 November?
Well, look no further than the Euro Gourmet on the corner of Rinyani Avenue and Kanniedood Street in Weltevreden Park, the convenient German butchery that offers fresh-meat specials.
With Black Friday madness around the corner, the butcher is planning to offer the best specials all in the name of giving back to its greater community that kept them in business during intense lockdown.
A friendly Stefan Kiefer, a qualified German Master Butcher and managing partner at Euro Gourmet, unpacked their master plan for this upcoming shopping festival.
“Because we had such an amazing increase in turnover we want to give back to our customers. Therefore, we are going to be putting beef fillet on special for R149 per kg, and our own foot-long cheese grillers on special for R79,90 per kg,” he promised.

“We’ve designed these specials so that even the financially unfit can get the opportunity to buy some fillets because a kilo of fillets would usually cost them nearly R250,” Stefan further promoted the special.
As major footfall is expected on this busy day, Stefan said they hope to have enough to cater for the prospective customers.
“These specials will be limited to 2kg per customer – just so that more customers can enjoy this deal while stocks last,” he addressed the supply vs demand situation.
Abiding with the lockdown regulations, Stefan said all systems will be in place, including a fully computerised system to manage movement.
Euro Gourmet butchery has been in existence for over 30 years, with the new owners having taken over last year.
Highlighting the uniqueness of this butcher, Stefan, who’s applied his trade for almost 30 years in South Africa, told the Northsider that everything they produce is according to the German recipes. “We only use meat – no substitutes, soya or mechanically deboned meat,” he said.

He added that they also do not use imported meat, but only purchase their stock from local farmers. “We believe in supporting local businesses and the economy. In the past year, we have employed 10 local staff members to uplift the people,” he explained.
The proudly German butcher concluded by wishing his customers a happy Black Friday.
