Good specials and great prizes up for grabs
Hanlie du Plessis and her husband own the Bluebottle Liquor stores in Wilro Park and Helderkruin, each of them with their own specials.

Bottle stores were hit exponentially hard by the effects of the national lockdown and government-gazetted regulations. For a large portion of the year, they were unable to sell their stock, and then the time constraints when the restrictions were eased continued to cause sales problems.
That is why many of them will most likely have never-before-seen specials for Black Friday.

Hanlie du Plessis and her husband own the Bluebottle Liquor stores in Wilro Park and Helderkruin, each of them with their own specials. Speaking for the Wilro Park store, Hanlie said that the quaint shop will be commemorating the occasion with one week of specials, from 27 November to 3 December. Further to that, on 28 November, the store will increase their specials for a one-day-only massive sale. “The lockdown really affected our industry, and there have also been problems with suppliers on top of that, so we need to make sure we are competitive at a time when people are looking for better prices,” said Hanlie.
Hanlie said that as store owners, she and her husband need to be aware that people will look around for the best prices so they need to be competitive, which is what they aimed for this year. The Wilro Park bottle store has also taken on a few in-store competitions where customers can win amazing prizes, such as a Heineken foosball table or a fridge.
