Horsemanship and coffee with a French flair

On Saturday, 28 November, animal and charitable enthusiasts were hosted by The EARTH Centre in Ruimsig for a coffee morning with a French flair.
It has been an unusual year for The EARTH Centre as they have not been able to connect with all of their volunteers, riders and supporters in the ways that they normally would.
Because of this, a decision was taken to put together a bit of a different year-end event for everyone to join. The event featured an informative discussion, and a small expo of pictures and stories that provided much entertainment for animal enthusiasts.

Attendees got the chance to meet some of the herd in the round pen and shared some interesting insight into The EARTH Centre’s behind-the-scenes horsemanship work.
Croissants, fruit, crustless vegetarian mini quiches and other nibbles were laid out to be enjoyed while exploring the rest of the little expo.

The morning was then rounded off with live demos with a horse that is willing, and a short inspiring film that concluded the well-attended event.

The EARTH Centre is an NPC passionate about empowering disadvantaged people with disabilities through horses.
This unique therapy strengthens their riders physically and minimises barriers to opportunities in mainstream society.
