Principal Santa adds holiday spirit to traffic
“We at Charterhouse would like to thank the surrounding residents for their patience and support throughout this year.”
At times it takes a school leader to remind us that the code of generosity, kindness, and charity toward others is enforced by no one other than ourselves.
Monday, 30 November saw Charterhouse School Principal, Desmond Zeelie add some holiday spirit to the traffic outside his school when he came out in a Santa suit and directed traffic.
The school has implemented a drop-off and pick-up Covid-19 protocol to keep the Charterhouse community safe.

Mr Zee, as he is affectionately known to the community, took it upon himself to ease the traffic outside the school in his Santa uniform and a boom box playing Christmas songs for the drivers and passengers using this route.
“We at Charterhouse would like to thank the surrounding residents for their patience and support throughout this year,” said Mr Zee.
On Tuesday, 1 December the school held a special Honours Evening to celebrate their Grade 7 class.
The school told the Northsider that it was not the year they had envisioned but they were so proud of these amazing Grade 7 learners who will carry their Charteronian spirit to High School next year.
