Mzansi Creative Art Competition 2021 well under way
Time is of the essence for the artists who still want to enter as the closing date for the competition is 1 December.
The Mzansi Creative Art Competition 2021 is well under way with a lot of entries streaming in, forcing the organisers to up their game in order to keep up with the overwhelming response.
Time is of the essence for the artists who still want to enter as the closing date for the competition is 1 December.
Mzansi Art Gallery, a Facebook gallery administered by Susan Allin and Sonwabe Mhletywa, was established in July 2020 with the purpose of bridging the obstacles brought by Covid-19.
“I would just like to mention that Sonwabe, one of the curators on Mzansi Art Gallery, has just lost her mother.
“The funeral was on 26 November. Our sincerest condolences to her and her family,” said Susan.
Entry fees are R200 per entry, and entry forms and the rules are obtainable on the Facebook page, or by emailing Susan or Sonwabe at mzansicreativeart@gmail.com.
Three prestigious judges will be selecting the top 100 artworks.
By 10 February 2021 the top 50 artworks will have been chosen, and on 20 February the final 10 will be announced.
These 10 finalists will be hosted at a gala event at Alice Art Gallery, Ruimsig on 6 March 2021, where the top three will be named.
