Kiddies breakfast joyride – full of life

This all started when little Christopher (junior) and Katrina refused to eat their breakfast in the morning because they preferred watching television.

With the reopening of schools postponed, parents have had to find many different ways to keep their children active and entertained during this long lockdown school break.

Little ones are often disruptive and cry babies, a pain which parents patiently have to manage and find ways to keep them entertained and get them to cooperate.

One parent that has nailed this task is Christopher Frizado (senior) from Allen’s Nek who has found an innovative way to get his two bundles of joy to do what’s required of them.

This all started when little Christopher (junior) and Katrina refused to eat their breakfast in the morning because they preferred watching television.

The loving father decided to build a two-seater cart by which he persuaded the kiddos to eat while taking them on a joyride around the block.

“It was hard keeping our kiddos busy during lockdown, so we had to apply a little ingenuity and be resourceful in making this cart,” said the super-awesome and creative dad, who spent a mere R200 to put everything together.

“I used all the material lying around the house and also old toys to get it nicely decorated. This has been so much help; it’s resourceful and keeps them away from the television and less distracted when they have to eat,” he explained.

With all their favourite toys creatively affixed to the cart, the joyride provides an unforgettable experience. Frizado, who steers the cart around, fitted it with bowl compartments to allow the duo to eat, books to read, as well as a speaker to play their favourite music.

He added that pushing the cart around is also beneficial to him as he sheds a bit of weight while creating even tighter bonds and enjoying time with his cute children.

This innovation has recently caught the attention of Frizado’s neighbours, who admire his efforts to keep his children active, at the same time enjoying a bit of the outdoors.
